Redemption

Preview: Merriam-Webster defines redemption as: the act or process of serving to offset or compensate for a defect. Coming back from a sinful state to be redeemed by the blood of Christ’s sacrifice for us is the goal of every Christian.


Scripture Reading: Romans 7:7-25.

Memory Verse: Psalm 107:2.

1. How does the Bible picture sinners? Romans 7:14, II Peter 2:19 & John 8:34.
2. How strong a hold can sin have on our lives? Romans 7:19-25 & Galatians 5:17.
3. Who is the only answer to this problem? Romans 7:24-25.
4. As Christians are we free to do as we please? I Corinthians 6:20 & I Corinthians 7:23.
5. What was the price that was paid for us? I Peter 1:18-19 & Isaiah 53:3-8.
6. From how much of our sin does He want to redeem us? Titus 2:14 & I John 1:9.
7. People today want to be free to do their own thing. Does Satan use this feeling to his advantage? II Peter 2:19-22 & Genesis 3:2-5.
8. Can we again fall into the bondage of sin once we have been redeemed? I Corinthians 10:12, Galatians 6:1 & II Peter 2:18.
9. Can we sell ourselves into the slavery of sin? I Kings 21:20, I Kings 21:25 & II Kings 17:17. What are some ways that we can do this?

11. What should belonging to such a wonderful God, who has freed us from the bondage of sin, cause us to do? Psalm 107:1-2.
